An overturned tractor-trailer forced Kentucky State Police to close the Interstate 64 westbound ramp for several hours Monday.
Trooper Ron Turley said the driver of the trailer was making a left turn from U.S. 127 onto the ramp around 10:20 a.m. when the load shifted, forcing the trailer to turn over. The cab remained upright. The trailer’s load, which included a “large printer,” is about 39,000 pounds, Turley said.
“Since the load was so heavy, it’s going to take some time for them to get that cleaned up,” Turley said.
The ramp was reopened shortly before 2 p.m.
Turley said the driver wasn’t injured.
