Both of my daughters attend FCHS. Yesterday they came home and told me that the neighbor received a d-hall due to the fact that her skirt was more that 3 inches above the knee. I have never once seen the neighbor dress in a revealing or provocative manner. I believe quite a few d-halls have been issued at FCHS for dress code violations. The vice principal runs around with a rule and actually measures the length of the skirts. But wait aren't these the same people who think that removing a garter and grinding at dances is just good clean fun? So the girls at FCHS are to act like ladies during the school day, but are encouraged to act like strip club employees at a dance. Now here is a great message from our school administrators. The FCHS SBDM refused to address the dancing issue and even encouraged it to continue and at the same time decided 3 inches above the knee was just too revealing for the school day. Huh? I am having trouble putting these two together, you can not show part of your leg, but can rub your rear-end into the private parts of a male student as long as it at a dance. The school also have a policy against PDA's (public displays of affection) during the school day. I guess rubbing into the private parts of a male student is not a display of affection, I wonder what does qualify. Why do dances or any school functions outside out the normal school day have different rules? My guess is that FCHS has a different set of rules for dances only; basically our school administrators are nothing short of hypocrites. One set of rules is all I am asking for, either our kids act trashy or not.

Hey Eugene_Debs please list what part of my agruments are logical fallacies like straw man and ad hominem? This I can not wait to hear. You mentioned that you would teach your kids how to think logically, which I agree, but please explain how allowing a female student to rub her rear into the genitals of a male student will help accomplish that. Also please explain why this would not excite our students and lead to worse behavior. I have a thought, maybe this whole thing is to get peoples attention and maybe, just maybe, we can start looking at other things as well. Have you ever tried to get anyone at FCHS to sit down with you and listen? Actually have you ever tried to get any school administrator in Franklin County to listen. Last school year I warned the principal and superintendent that the principal's changes at Elkhorn Middle School would actually cause the schools scores to decrease and guess what they did. No one would even listen to my suggestions. We have to use something to get their attention and make them include parents in the process. One last question, what would you say if I told you that a principal in Franklin County is changing students scores on their marking period grades? This is happening and not on a small scale. Last year a teacher had 23% of his kids (he taught 4 classes) receiving below a 50% on their report cards. The prinicipal went in and made them all 50's which is still a failing grade, but the kids can not be held back with a 50% grade. How's that for teaching them how to think?

"What would you address as a parent?" (actuary)
I would be concerned in making sure my kids knew how to think logically, use proper grammar, and argue without using logical fallacies like straw man and ad hominem. I think students could benefit from parents putting more thought into their education and less into how they dance.
This whole dancing/music issue happens about once a generation. 50 years ago you probably would have been freaking out over Elvis's hip swiveling. Sorry, but kids just aren't going to waltz, foxtrot, or square dance in 2007, as wholesome as it would be. If you have a problem with the dances, you have every right to keep your child from going. They aren't mandatory.
I actually agree with you that harping on the length of girls' shorts (as long as the length is within reason) is silly and a waste of the administration's time.
"By the way, I am not a parent of a FCHS student! But I feel for the parents that are. Get the facts before you flap your jaws!" (justice)
My bad, tough guy. I must have mixed you up with someone else
"I have an opinion and if I want to post it I can regardless if you like it or not!" (justice)
And I can ridicule its inanity.
"Next time you want to call someone out, try a little harder, your words mean nothing to me." (justice)
You're TUFF~!

By the way, I am not a parent of a FCHS student! But I feel for the parents that are. Get the facts before you flap your jaws! I have an opinion and if I want to post it I can regardless if you like it or not! I can tell you one thing; my comments are a hell of a lot better than most. Next time you want to call someone out, try a little harder, your words mean nothing to me.

I would just like to apologize for any errors that I may have made in any of my posts, if that comment was directed towards me Eugene Debs, since there is another Justice on here. God forbid anyone spell anything incorrectly or use words that aren't up to Eugene Debs standards. I'm Sorry!

Hey Eugene Debs starting a sentence with but is not recommended. Read the following I found on line...
Many grammar buffs will slap you on the hand with a ruler for starting sentences with a conjunction"to them, placing the conjunction (but, and, yet, etc.) first creates a grammatically incomplete thought like a sentence fragment.
Welcome to the world of incoherent and grammatically incorrect thoughts. We are glad you are here with us.

These issues are not suppose to add up to anything. They are facts, the whole point was just what was written. Our female students are allowed to grind into the frontal genital area of male students while at the same time the school officials run around with a ruler and measure the length of a skirt above the knees. This is what does not add up, either we have rules or we don't. I don't see how these can not add up as was mentioned. Also, I think that myself and others have written coherent sentences and great job bashing other people for expressing interest in our schools. How do you think our kids should act in and out of school? What would you address as a parent? Please don't say discipline because this whole argument is also tied to that subject.

This is fantastic. The two FCHS parents posting here with their panties in a twist (actuary & justice) can't type out a coherent, grammatically correct sentence or recognize that they are making straw man arguments. But apparently the school's biggest problems are dances and skirt length.
Hmm...something doesn't add up here.

Hey Puh-leeze if your friends (and you) believe that it is the place only of parents to tell their kids how to behave or set standards for them, then why are you okay with the school measuring the length of a girls skirt with a ruler? That is as you put it someone elses standards being applied to your child and that of others. Why not just eliminate all rules and our kids can run free while at school and other functions? If this is indeed an issue of parental responsibility than a school should not have any of their own rules. The parents should monitor what their child does and respond accordingly. You should be up in arms because of rules that our schools enforce, they are after all someone elses rules and not yours. The truth is you do not care about what is really going on, your primary concern is to insult others while ignoring what you write. The point of this whole damn thing was that the school is enforcing a 3 inch rule while allowing things like a garter dance and grinding. A young lady would expose more of her leg during the removal of a garter then she would with her skirt 3.1 inches above her knee. You tried to imply that I want it both ways, truth is I have wanted it one way and one way only, either we have rules or we don't. You want rules when it is convenient or when it allows you to make another stupid remark. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

This is what Puh-leeze posted on another citizen opinion and she has the nerve to insult others.
"I think you should have to have a high school diploma before being allowed to have kids as a bare minimum qualification. But that's just me.", by Puh-leeze.
This lady has truly lost it or maybe she never had it.
